| Dr. Thomas J. Parliment, President of Parliment Consulting Services, Inc., has served as a commercial banker, investment banker, economist, consultant and educator to the financial services industry over the past four decades. He is noted throughout the business community for his speeches and articles covering a wide range of financial and economic issues. His often humorous and always throught-provoking point of view is regularly enjoyed by readers of his numerous articles and through his frequent public appearances. Dr. Parliment focuses on strategic financial planning to help institutions gain and maintain sustainable superior earnings growth. His no-holds-barred retail solutions help to enhance community institutions’ franchise value. He serves on the board of directors of two community banks. As a director and Chairman of Audit, Asset/Liability Management, and Loan Committees, Dr. Parliment is familiar with the increasing responsibilities and challenges that directors face in a post-Sarbanes-Oxley world. He is Director of Farin & Associates, Inc., Fitchburg, WI. Farin is a financial services consulting firm that provides asset/liability management solutions, retail product pricing solutions and Web products and services. Dr. Parliment is an Advisory Director of Performance Trust Investment Advisors, Inc., Chicago IL. Performance Trust is an investment advisory firm noted for its premier educational franchise, Bond Math University, and for its total rate of return and math/logic based methodology. Dr. Parliment serves on the faculty of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He is a featured speaker at a number of programs sponsored by state, regional and national trade associations. Formerly a professor of economics at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Parliment earned his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from the State University of New York. Janet Frankl-Lockwood joined Parliment Consulting Services, Inc. in August 2005 as Managing Partner. Janet works with community financial institution clients to help them include a “best practices” approach to execute and implement retail strategies and to embed them into the asset/liability management process. Janet works with clients to segment and differentiate deposit products in order to help lower average costs, manage marginal cost of funds, segment rate sensitive from non-rate sensitive customers, and to increase the personal household balances of commercial customers. Prior to joining Parliment Consulting, Janet was Senior Vice President at Eastern Portfolio Group, Inc., a strategic investment portfolio and asset/liability management consulting firm. She was responsible for capitalizing on the existing success of EPG as they expanded their business within New England and to a national presence. Janet also worked at Farin & Associates, Inc. as Senior Vice President where she was responsible for marketing and sales nationwide and advised financial institution management teams how they can benefit from Farin’s financial solutions and educational venues. Janet also worked at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston for 28 years, more recently as First Vice President of sales and business development. She worked closely with community bank management teams to develop strategies to meet their business challenges, retail and wholesale strategies, and asset/liability management objectives. Janet holds an MBA from Northeastern University and graduated from the National School of Finance and Management at Fairfield University. She was formerly an Associate Board Director of the Midwest Conference of Community Bankers. She formerly served on the faculty of the School for Financial Studies, Massachusetts Bankers Association and was Past President, Product Development and Management Association, Boston Chapter. |
